Nafisa Bodruddoza Neeha is an intern at Kazi Law Chamber
and a dedicated law student at Queen Mary University of London. At Kazi Law
Chamber, her responsibilities include organizing legal files, transcribing
dictations, legal research and drafting legal documents. She frequently attends
court proceedings and client meetings, gaining firsthand exposure to civil,
criminal, and corporate legal matters. These experiences have allowed her to
develop a strong foundation in the practical aspects of legal practice.
In addition to her role at the law firm, Nafisa has also
demonstrated her commitment to legal service through various experiences. From
September 2023 to August 2024, she served as a Student Adviser at the Queen
Mary Legal Advice Centre, where she conducted in-depth legal research, client
interviews, and drafted legal advice letters under professional supervision.
Her work primarily focused on employment and contract law, assisting
individuals with cases related to unpaid wages, discrimination, and wrongful
termination. Nafisa's role involved not only advising clients on these issues
but also providing guidance in cases of fraudulent conduct during renovation
works, collaborating with firms like Reeds Smith and Mischon De Reya.
In November 2023, she expanded her legal knowledge through
a pro bono placement at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), where she assisted
in client interviews and worked on contract law matters, addressing legal
notices and employment-related issues such as misleading references. This
experience further honed her legal skills, as she meticulously documented case
details and managed client and case records.
Beyond her legal pursuits, Nafisa has been actively
involved in extracurricular activities. From 2020 to 2022, she held leadership
roles at Mastermind English Medium School, serving as Vice President of the
Mastermind Debating Society and as a founding member of the Mastermind
Convocare Society. These experiences reflect her strong leadership,
communication, and organizational skills, all of which she brings to her legal
career.
